Flamboyant designs, unique twists and funky embellishments are the hallmarks of Ipa-Nima’s style. The result is accessories that are fun, sexy, glamorous and have great fashionable shapes.
The girl from Ipa-Nima
Dubbed a style icon for her natural flair for fashion, it may be difficult to believe that Hong Kong-born Christina Yu was once a practicing litigator. Moonlighting in the 1990s as Fashion Editor for City Magazine, Christina spent her holidays on self-sponsored trips to fashion shows in Paris and Milan, and evenings sifting through thousands of slides in search of new fashion trends.
It was love that first brought Christina to Hanoi in 1995, but the move soon emerged as her destiny. Impressed by the workmanship of local artisans, Christina began developing private label work for international designers, such as Shanghai Tang, G.O.D. and Anteprima. It wasn’t long before she decided to expand her own design vision - in 1997 Ipa-Nima was born.
